Concept OF Art Representing our lessons with a meal or drink to provide people with a fresh, imaginative approach to represent what they have learnt. These items show what was "served" to the general public. These pieces were inspired by menus from nearby restaurants. Because I adore ceramics, I decided to utilize clay. I want people to understand my perspective on our key lessons from these pieces.

My artwork shows a grenade in a bowl. The grenade symbolizes the unending bloodshed that erupted between 1939 and 1945. A typical war weapon is the grenade. What I want readers to take away from this piece is an understanding of how terrible World War II was for the United States, specifically the people, by way of representations of war and the violence brought on by ongoing hostilities between nations. The common people were abused by the government's abuse of authority. The social problems we face today are connected to this era, so we should be interested in it.
Progressive era
In my artwork, a gold bar in a bowl is dipicted. For the bowl, the gold is far too large. The gold signifies the era's pursuit of financial gain. There was a craving for money. The toxic nature of the progressive era was concealed by its gold-coated exterior. The weakening of the economy, the cruel treatment of underprivileged employees, and the increase in wealth and power among the wealthy I want people to realize that the progressive movement was motivated by the desire to gain and gain. Because of the United States' captalist leadership, this age displays the nation's greed, which is something we should be concerned about.
The Great depression
In my artwork, a bowl of nothing is shown. The only thing the great depression brought to the society was misery for those who tried to make ends meet due to the struggling economy. Many were only motivated by the belief that things would change, tearing up families in the process. I want people to understand from this work how much the general populace suffered as a result of this economic catastrophe. Because of the greed that exists in America, individuals in need are neglected. We should be interested in this period because it enables us to consider the negative effects of the American way of thinking that is taught to be capitalistic.
the 1920s
The “Devils Tea” is represented in my art. Because it's the most controversial legal drug in the US, I decided to portray the Prohibition era. I want people to realize from this how much America has evolved since the 1920s. How actions that were once prohibited but are now tolerated have no longer their negative effects. The 1920s were full of the beginnings of many things we enjoy now, such as jazz, thus we should be interested in this time period.
